What for do we love boxing? Somebody likes KOs, other one likes to observe the refined challenge. In Vitaliy Rusal’s fight one can see both. Vitaliy won all his 6 bouts, 5 via KO. From fight to fight his punching power gets sharper and sharper. One can put it bluntly that now we have a decent and tough heir of the European champion Alexander Gurov in cruiserweight in Ukraine.
As an amateur Vitaliy won several international boxing tournaments in Donetsk and Sevastopol. The gurus of professional boxing noticed him, and his bright professional boxing career started.
If at the beginning of his boxing career he participated in minor tournaments in small towns (e.g. Smela), now he fights at the highest level. His last bout was held in the Kiev Sport Palace (versus Alexander Kurmanov) in attendance of 5 thousand. This fight was highly praised by boxing specialists.
Vitaliy has one perfect trait – he can come forward and back as well. His main course left hook – right cross makes fans to spring up from their seats.
Vitaliy started his boxing career with the trainer Wladimir Shevchenko, and now he continues with Alexander Lichter. Both this specialists are highly rated all over the world. Working with numerous Ukrainian boxing stars also contributed to Vitaliy’s skills and guts. Here what the present Vitaliy’s sparring partners tell about him:
Konstantin Shvets (former Intercontinental IBF Champion): “Vitaliy gained very much recently. He became faster, got more skills, punches harder”.
Serhiy Babich (130-kilos heavyweight from Zhitomir): “This guy’s got punching power, nice technique and moves fast. He’s got an excellent cross-over”.
Vitaliy is very hard-working. He constantly tries to look for the new sparring-partners, attends other boxing gyms, trains a lot. He is not scared to spar with the boxers from any category. Vitaliy’s partners from his club appreciate his refined sense of humor.
