IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight champion Sergey Fedchenko (22-0, 10 KOs) destroyed Juan Alberto Godoy (22-12-1, 8 KOs) in less than four rounds on Saturday night at the Palace of Sports «Budivelnik» in Cherkassy. Exciting boxing tournament «Golden Boxing» was organized in this Ukrainian city by «K2 East Promotions» promotional company.

After dominating the first three rounds Fedchenko sent out Godoy to the canvas three times (two times in round 3) on route before Argentinean corner threw in the towel in round 4. Brilliant performance by the champion! It was the first title defense by 27-year old Fedchenko who won IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight last May by defeating Peter Semo in twelve rounds.

In the co-event Vitaliy Rusal (22-0, 16 KOs), IBO Inter-Continental cruiserweight champion, faced Mihaly Nemet (9-11-1, 2 KOs), Hungarian journeyman, in a non-title ten-rounder. Nemet appeared to be no match for Rusal as the champ completely destroyed boxing veteran 37-year old Hungarian. Nemet twice took a knee within first two minutes after brutal left hooks which Rusal landed to his liver. One more left hook to the head sent Nemet to the canvas for the third time and referee waved the bout off.

UNDERCARD RESULTS:

Timur Akhundov W(PTS)6 Maxim Ivshin
Valentin Holovko TKO4 Arutian Khachiatrian
Dmitry Nikulin TKO7 Valentin Zbrozhek
Alexander Spirko TKO1 Ehsan Hudzhihuseine
