At the end of January two boxing champions who fight for «K2 East Promotions», promotional company of Klitschko brothers, will leave Ukraine in order to take part in a new project in which townspeople of 26 regional centers of Ukraine will compete for the right to call their cities and towns the best Ukrainian city.

Vyacheslav Uzelkov, WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion and mandatory challenger for world heavyweight championship will be at the head of Vinnitsa team and Dmitrij Nikulin, WBO European light middleweight champion has been elected captain of Melitopol squad.

«The Battle of Ukrainian Cities» is a Ukrainian version of world famous extreme show «Wipeout» which was included into Guinness Book of World Records due to number of falls of its participants per time unit. Celebrities of Ukrainian sports and show biz will be at the head of 26 teams, 5 persons each. Contestants will have to demonstrate their courage, resourcefulness, ability to orientate oneself in an extreme situation and they have to be well-trained physically – they are to go through tests which can confound even a SWAT team member. Contenders will have to surmount vast expanses of water, mud pools, to go through big burning balls flying at a high speed and many other contests and competitions.

Besides Vyacheslav Uzelkov and Dmitrij Nikulin some other Ukrainian stars of professional boxing will compete in the show: former world and European champion, female boxer Alina Shaternikova who is now a sports writer will lead the team from Rivne while Vladimir Virchis, former EBU (European) heavyweight champion will be at the head of Kherson crew. The final round of battle of Ukrainian cities will be set in Buenos Aires. Ukrainian people will watch the show at «Inter» TV channel at the beginning of March.
