European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton (40-4-2, 15 KOs) scored his biggest win and retained his belt against favored former WBA interim world champion Yuriy Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs) by winning a unanimous twelve round unanimous decision on Friday night at the Bolton Arena in Bolton, England.
